I was browsing on VitalJuice and came across this post about a self tanner to use at home in your tub with ingredients found in your kitchen! All you need is black tea bags, boiling water, and a spray bottle!
See the post here.
"Required time: About 30-40 minutes
Skill level: Goof-proof
Ingredients:
4 black tea bags
2 cups boiling water
Sponge or spray bottle
Optional:
Body lotion
Pure cocoa powder
Instructions:
When water has boiled, add the tea bags to steep. Leave in for 10-15 minutes, or until tea is dark and cool enough to touch.
In the meantime, take a shower to ensure your skin is oil- and sweat-free. Afterwards, make sure skin is completely dry. Stand on something you don't mind getting dirty. If using a sponge, drench it in the tea and wipe all over your body. If using a spray bottle, fill it with tea and spray evenly. Let skin air-dry and apply another coat for a deeper shade. Tea will stain clothes if wet, so make sure you're all dry before dressing. The "tan" should last 3-4 days. Optional: For bonus color, mix cocoa powder into body lotion until you reach desired color and apply for an all-over bronzing boost."
Great idea, VitalJuice! Have you ever tried a homemade self tanner? What's your favorite way of tanning? Share your answers to these along with post suggestions in the comments!

Stressing Over School? Read This!
Let me tell you guys: I am absolutely up to my ears in schoolwork. But...that's the life of an honors student, right? I guess...But it's way too much. I have three tests in a row tomorrow! Then, Monday I have a paper due, and Friday I have two other papers due. It's way too much! I also have a book report on which I ahve yet to read the book! No, this blog post isn't goign to be just me complaining about stressing over school. I actually want to share with you some of my tips for when I get stressed out about school:
1. Make some tea. I don't know if it is my mind persuading me to calm down because I'm drinking tea, or if tea actually makes you calm down, butit works for me. Get one with a nice smell, like chamomile. If it's going to be a late night, make sure it's caffeinated. But, don't think of all the stuff you have to do when you sip the tea. Of course, work while you drink it, but take deep breaths every time you sip your tea. It really makes a difference.
2. Plan it out. If you know or think you may have a stressful week, plan it out. Heck, plan out your entire month if you have to! 98% of the time I don't stick to my plan, and I re-plan it again the next week. But, it calms me down, and shows me how much work I really do have.
3. Have someone stay up with you. If you are stressed about exams, and are planning on an all-nighter: invite a friend. Maybe they are taking the same exam, maybe not. For me, literally just having someone there calms me down, and makes me feel more relaxed. If you're taking the same test, you can study together!
I honestly, truly, whole-heartedly hope these tips will help you relieve stress during your finals, a busy week, or whatever. I am currently in the middle of studying for a test right now as well, so please let me know in the comments if any of these tips work for you, or any other things you do to relieve stress! I would love to know! Maybe I'll even put them in this post?!

So Excited! The Royal Wedding (Of Course...)
Honestly, the Royal Wedding is super duper exciting for me. I was always the girly girl, even as a young young child, and my official goal in life was to become a princess. And Kate Middleon is actually going to become one! LUCKY. It sorta gives me hope, considering she was just a commoner, and she ended up marrying the future King of England!
This post has nothign to do with beauty. Though, I can ASSURE you that 90% of the beauty community on Blogger and YouTube are tuning in for the Royal Wedding. It is just too cute!
Maybe, you would like to know what I am going to wear? I know, I am ridiculous. I am actually dressing up for the Royal Wedding...at 2:30 my time. I can't even sleep because I'm so excited! Is that bad? hahah. Anyway, I asked a male's opinion of my outfit: a purple v-neck dress with cap sleeves and a cinched waist (maybe I will take a picture once I have it on). And, my nude pumps I wore for Easter. I like the combination. He said that it looked like something "someone rich and fancy and royal woudl wear." Considering he isn't too fashionably-in tact, I take that as a compliment.
And for my hair (Let me read your mind for a moment... This girl is absolutely koo-koo. She actually is waking up at 2:30 in the morning without any sleep to put on a dress, heels, a full face of makeup, adn do her hair all fancy, to sit on a couch sipping English tea and eating scones watching the royal wedding. What a loser....Trust me, I know this is pathetic. But, I think it is also sort of fun and goofy to be doing it at the same time.) I will be doing an updo (what all the royals do...). I am still between updos: perhaps the "funnel cake bun" I reviewed earlier, or a different hairstyle. It's always nice to try something new....right?
Okay, maybe a new post later guys, happy friday! TGIF!
